For the first time ever, the BRIT Awards with Mastercard will take place outside of London. In 2026 and 2027, the UK’s biggest night in music will head north to Manchester’s Co-op Live arena.
Manchester has a long and influential musical history, having produced iconic acts such as Oasis, Joy Division, The Smiths, The 1975, Aitch, and many more. The BRIT Awards now join the city’s legendary musical legacy and thriving independent scene, with Co-op Live providing a state-of-the-art venue for the event.
This move marks a new era for the BRITs, with 2026 being the first of three years under the leadership of Sony Music UK, who led the relocation. Details of the event’s chair and full programme will be announced in due course.
